Solange seems to be a rather fitting name for this big fluffy beautiful double peony cultivar. The French name has origins from Latin, signifying “solemn” or “festive”. That word certainly contains an interesting dichotomy of meanings. However, the ruffled blooms of white and the slight blush of pink would add elegance and charm to any cut flower arrangement for a wedding celebration – the ideal embodiment of both solemn and festive.
